Membership & Fees

MEMBERSHIP
  • Annual Member – The person should possess post graduate degree or diploma in surgical branch (Allopathy). He/she should pay rupees one thousand every year.
  • Life Member – The person should possess post graduate degree or diploma in surgical branch (Allopathy). He/she should pay one time membership fee of rupees six thousand.
  • Associate Life Member – Persons engaged in other ancillary branches (allopathy) of medical sciences may be admitted by the association as associate life member. He/she should pay one time membership fee of rupees six thousand.
  • Overseas Life Member – An Indian surgeon practising in countries other than India may be admitted as OLM (overseas life member). He/she should pay one time fee of US dollar $500. If he/she shifts permanently to India, he/she would be treated as life member.
  • PG Member – The person who is registered as PG student in the department of surgery (allopathy) may be admitted as PG member. He/she should pay rupees three thousand as fee. If he /she, after completion of PG course, is desirous of upgrading himself/herself as life member, he/she may be admitted as life member on payment of the difference amount in fee as may be prevailing for the life membership at that time. The membership fee for PG members would change if fee for life members change in future. It would be fifty percent of that of life member.
MEMBERSHIP FEE

Membership fees mentioned above are the ones prevailing today, they may change from time to time. The executive committee/general body has the right to fix the fee time to time. The decision of the executive body to change the fee shall be kept in the agenda for approval in AGB and needs to be ratified by not less than (2⁄3)rd members present in the meeting.
