Association of Surgeons, Nagpur (ASN) conducted 1st clinical meeting of 2023-24, on Friday, 25th August 2023 on online platform of Google Meet from 08.30.pm to 10.30 pm. 40 members attended the meeting. The link was https://meet.google.com/rkd-oxww-oiy
Dr Prachi Mahajan, President ASN welcomed all the members.
Dr Simul Shah, resident of Surgical Oncology at NCI under the guidance of Dr Gopal Gurjar presented a case of a large Chondrosarcoma of the chest wall. Dr Prabhat Nichkaode, Dr Sudhir Deshmukh and Dr Mukund Thakur chaired the session.
Dr Sunit Sood presented an interesting case of unsuspected on table problem inTURP due to ankylosing Spondylitis with Bamboo spine and failed spinal anesthesia and successful surgery using LMA . This session was chaired by Dr Saurabh Barde, Anesthesiologist, Dr Sadashiv Bhole and Dr Kanhaiya Chandak.
Dr Samir Sahay, Consultant Upper GI/HPB, General & Laparoscopic Surgery, Colchester Hospital, East Sussex & North Essex Foundation NHS Trust, UK delivered a talk on Laparoscopic CBD Exploration. The chairpersons for this session were Dr Prashant Rahate, Dr Sudhir Tomey and Dr Rajesh Singhvi.
All the presentations were followed by interesting discussion.
