Association of Surgeons, Nagpur, has started ‘Nagpur Surgical Clinics’, a
comprehensive program for the postgraduates pursuing MS General Surgery.
The first session under this program was conducted on 15/06/2023 from
07.00 pm to 08.30 pm on Zoom meeting platform. This was an online session on
‘Surgical Pathology’ especially useful for the residents appearing for their final MS
exam in next 15 days.
Dr Gayatri Deshpande, Asst Professor, GMC, Nagpur, was the faculty. Dr
M.A. Akhtar, Retd. Prof. and Head, Dept of Surgery and Dr Dilip Gupta, Professor
and Head, Dept of Surgery, MGIMS, Sevagram were the chairpersons. Dr Gayatri
Deshpande briefed the students about the basic concept of Surgical Pathology
and various specimens which are important from exam point of view and various
questions which can be asked. The faculty .and the chairpersons guided the
students by giving some practical tips and tricks of the exam. The program was
attended by 50 residents from all over Vidarbha and many members of ASN
including Dr B S Gedam and others.
