Association of Surgeons Nagpur (ASN) and Western Coal Fields (WCL) Wani- North jointly conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness session on Sunday, 11th June, 2023 at WCL Wani North campus as a social responsibility. Dr Prachi Mahajan, President ASN and Dr Deepa Jahagirdar, Past Secretary, ASN, were the faculty for the event. Mr Sapan Shrivastav, GM, WCL, Wani was the Chief Guest for the occasion and Dr Chakraborty, Senior Medical Officer, along with WCL Hospital staff coordinated the event.
The event was attended by 100 women from amongst the employees of WCL and their families. The participants were guided about the importance of self breast examination, screening procedures, diagnostic tests and treatment. The interaction between the participants and faculty was lively and enthusiastic.
